Many years ago, when Svitlana’s daughter was still very little, they visited Gorky Park in Kharkiv on a warm summer day. Among the laughter of children, colorful balloons, and bright carousel lights, they saw a tiny live turtle for sale.

Her daughter instantly fell in love with it.

That little turtle became more than just a pet — it became a cherished childhood memory, a symbol of patience, gentleness, and quiet strength.

For Svitlana, turtles have always carried a special meaning.

In many cultures, the turtle is a symbol of wisdom, protection, stability, and long life. It reminds us to move through life with calmness, trust our path, and carry our home and safety within us.
Years later, remembering those tender moments with her daughter, Svitlana was inspired to recreate that feeling in yarn.

That’s how the Crochet Turtle was born.
